Bhat Bhateni Superstore opens new outlet in Pokhara

Bhat Bhateni Superstore opened its sixth branch in the lake city of Pokhara today.
The new outlet with four floors features consumer goods, products for children, a parking area and also a separate space for the promotion and sales of local products of Pokhara.
According to the owner of the superstore Min Bahadur Gurung, consumers in Pokhara can purchase the products for the same price as in Kathmandu. Bhat Bhateni had begun construction of its new outlet in Pokhara some two years ago with an investment of Rs 710 million for the new outlet.
The leading superstore of the country, also termed as the domestic Wall Mart, currently has a range of food items, clothes, utensils, electronic appliances and other products.
Bhat Bhateni superstore has outlets in Bhatbhateni, Maharjgunj, Koteshwor and Chucchepati in Kathmandu; and Krishna Galli in Lalitpur in the valley.
It had invested Rs 2 billion to open four new outlets in the valley.  The supermarket currently employs more than 1,100 people and plans to employ more 500 soon with more outlets in the major cities of the country.
